Consequently, Consigli Construction turned to SurePods to prefabricate 159 modular bathroom pods for its in-process 50 Rogers Street multi-family apartment unit project. The six-story, 132,000 square foot residential building will feature 136 rental units, including a mix of studio, one, and two-bedroom offerings.
The prefabrication method improves speed, safety, and simplification of the jobsite. With SurePods, Consigli Construction will have an accelerated timeline, as offsite bathroom pod manufacturing and on-site foundation groundwork occur at the same time. Further, the 50 Rogers Street apartment complex has a tight logistical footprint due to its location in Kendall Square. This makes material deliveries all the more difficult. SurePods is a fit here, too, as all building materials are sent directly to the pre-fab factory. Only the finished product is delivered on site, ready for immediate installation into the building structure.
