The video features Jake Meyer, project manager for SurePods, and Jackie Lee from SmithGroup, discussing the innovative use of prefabricated bathroom pods in the UC Davis Health 48X Complex project. In order to keep up with this project's fast-paced nature, SurePods prefabricated bathroom pods were implemented to enhance speed and ensure quality. Through early buy-in and collaborative design coordination, the project team was able to complete this project from design to completion in just three and a half years. As our first healthcare project in the State of California, SurePods set the standard in achieving HCAI approvals in seismic zones. This pioneering use of prefabrication in healthcare is seen as a major step forward in improving efficiency and reducing schedules in the California healthcare market.
