Daniela: Para mí significa una oportunidad para honrar nuestras raíces y mostrar cómo los valores de la comunidad hispana contribuyen al crecimiento de este país. Es un recordatorio de que nuestra cultura, esfuerzo y sacrificios tienen un impacto real en cada espacio donde trabajamos, incluyendo la industria de la construcción.

For me, it’s an opportunity to honor our roots and show how the values of the Hispanic community contribute to this country’s growth. It’s a reminder that our culture, effort, and sacrifices have a real impact in every space where we work, including the construction industry.

¿Puedes compartir cómo tu herencia ha influido en tu trayectoria profesional en la construcción y prefabricación? / Can you share how your heritage has influenced your professional journey in construction and prefabrication?

Daniela: Mi herencia venezolana me enseñó a trabajar con disciplina, constancia y responsabilidad. Como inmigrante, he aprendido a valorar cada oportunidad y a esforzarme el doble para demostrar mi capacidad. Esa mentalidad me ha impulsado a crecer y aportar mi esencia latina en cada proyecto.

My Venezuelan heritage taught me to work with discipline, perseverance, and responsibility. As an immigrant, I’ve learned to value every opportunity and work twice as hard to prove my capabilities. That mindset has driven me to grow and bring my Latin essence to every project.

¿Qué desafíos has enfrentado como mujer hispana en la industria de la construcción y cómo los has superado? / What challenges have you faced as a Hispanic woman in the construction industry, and how have you overcome them?

Daniela: El principal desafío ha sido abrirme camino en un sector donde todavía predominan los hombres. Muchas veces sentimos que debemos demostrar más para ser tomadas en serio. Lo he superado con preparación constante, disciplina y mostrando resultados de calidad. Cada meta alcanzada me motiva a seguir subiendo escalones.

The main challenge has been carving out a path in a sector still dominated by men. Many times, we feel we have to prove ourselves more to be taken seriously. I’ve overcome this through constant preparation, discipline, and delivering quality results. Every goal I reach motivates me to keep climbing.

¿Hay alguna tradición o valor de tu cultura que incorpores en tu trabajo en SurePods? / Is there a tradition or value from your culture that you incorporate into your work at SurePods?

Daniela: Sí, el sentido de comunidad y apoyo mutuo. Los latinos valoramos trabajar en equipo y estar siempre dispuestos a ayudar. También la resiliencia: incluso en momentos difíciles, mantenemos una actitud positiva y buscamos soluciones.

Yes, the sense of community and mutual support. Latinos value teamwork and are always willing to help. Also, resilience: even in tough times, we maintain a positive attitude and look for solutions.

¿Qué consejo le darías a otras mujeres hispanas que estén considerando una carrera en construcción o control de calidad? / What advice would you give to other Hispanic women considering a career in construction or quality control?

Daniela: Que no se dejen intimidar por los obstáculos. El camino puede ser más difícil, pero cada paso abre puertas a otras mujeres que vienen detrás. Con preparación, disciplina y confianza en sí mismas, pueden alcanzar cualquier meta.

Don’t be intimidated by obstacles. The path may be harder, but every step opens doors for other women coming behind you. With preparation, discipline, and self-confidence, you can achieve any goal.

¿Cómo ha cambiado tu perspectiva sobre el futuro de la construcción al trabajar en prefabricación? / How has working in prefabrication changed your perspective on the future of construction?

Daniela: Me ha hecho ver que el futuro está en la innovación y en la eficiencia. La prefabricación no solo mejora tiempos y costos, también eleva los estándares de calidad y seguridad. Es emocionante ser parte de un cambio tan grande en la industria.

It’s made me realize that the future lies in innovation and efficiency. Prefabrication not only improves timelines and costs, it also raises standards for quality and safety. It’s exciting to be part of such a big shift in the industry.

¿Puedes compartir un momento de orgullo o un logro durante tu tiempo en SurePods? / Can you share a proud moment or achievement during your time at SurePods?

Daniela: Un momento especial para mí fue cuando participé en un proyecto que exigía cumplir con estándares de calidad muy altos. Ver el resultado final y saber que mi esfuerzo contribuyó directamente fue un motivo de orgullo, porque demostró que estoy a la altura de cualquier reto.

A special moment for me was participating in a project that required meeting very high quality standards. Seeing the final result and knowing my effort directly contributed was a source of pride—it proved I’m up to any challenge.

¿Quién te ha inspirado más en tu carrera y por qué? / Who has inspired you most in your career and why?

Daniela: Me inspiran las mujeres de mi familia, en especial mi madre, porque me enseñó el valor del trabajo duro y la perseverancia. Gracias a su ejemplo entendí que, aunque el camino sea difícil, siempre se puede salir adelante con esfuerzo y fe.

I’m inspired by the women in my family, especially my mother, because she taught me the value of hard work and perseverance. Thanks to her example, I understood that even when the road is tough, you can always move forward with effort and faith.

¿Cómo ves que la diversidad y la inclusión están moldeando el futuro de la industria de la construcción? / How do you see diversity and inclusion shaping the future of the construction industry?

Daniela: La diversidad trae nuevas ideas, formas de pensar y soluciones innovadoras. La inclusión permite que cada voz sea escuchada, y eso enriquece los proyectos. Creo que la industria de la construcción será más fuerte y competitiva mientras más abierta sea a integrar diferentes culturas y talentos.

Diversity brings new ideas, ways of thinking, and innovative solutions. Inclusion ensures every voice is heard, and that enriches projects. I believe the construction industry will be stronger and more competitive the more open it is to integrating different cultures and talents.

¿Qué mensaje te gustaría compartir con la próxima generación de profesionales hispanos que ingresan al campo? / What message would you like to share with the next generation of Hispanic professionals entering the field?

Daniela: Que se sientan orgullosos de sus raíces y usen esa identidad como motor para superarse. Cada día es una oportunidad para dejar en alto nuestra cultura. Que nunca pierdan la disciplina, la responsabilidad y la pasión, porque esas son las herramientas que les abrirán puertas y los harán destacar.
