We’re pleased to be featured in the May issue of Building Design + Construction magazine. In the article“Tips for designing and building with bathroom pods,” associate editor David Malone discusses the benefits of pre-fabricated bathrooms, with a focus on modular hotel construction.
In noting how modular bathrooms help address labor shortages, Malone quotes SurePods managing director Bill Seery: “As a country, we have 1.5 million fewer trades people today than we did in 2007 when we had a similar level of construction activity going on. This is a structural change in the U.S. construction industry that is never going to go away.”
Malone also notes that because bathroom pods meet road trucking size limits, they can be shipped to the job site as complete, ready-to-install units. (And, if you don’t already know, we will ship our SurePods anywhere in the U.S.)
